Explore a vernal pool at Parsons Reserve (33 Horseneck Rd., Dartmouth) with the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust (DNRT) and the Buzzards Bay Coalition on Saturday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. DNRT and Coalition staff will lead participants on a hike through the reserve to a large vernal pool, where we will discover frogs, salamanders, and other interesting inhabitants of this temporary spring pond up close and personal.
Be prepared for moderate walking of about one mile, rain or shine. Participants should wear sturdy, waterproof hiking shoes or boots. As a bonus, the hike will wind past the reserveโs popular daffodil field, where thousands of daffodils bloom each spring.ย
