Saturday at The Sawmill

February 9, 2017

Take a tour of wildlife habitats like rivers, forests, swamps, and meadows on a guided family walk during “Saturday at The Sawmill” (32 Mill Rd., Acushnet) with the Buzzards Bay Coalition on Feb. 11 at 11:00 a.m.

During the walk, kids and families will answer questions and learn fun facts about the creatures that live in these different natural areas along the Acushnet River. Then participants will get to create their own wildlife habitat during a fun indoor craft. Families with children of all ages are welcome on this free walk. Please dress warmly and be prepared to walk on a trail for approximately a half-mile.

During Saturdays at The Sawmill, held once a month, the Hawes Family Learning Center will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. During this time, all visitors to The Sawmill can explore the learning center and speak with Coalition educators about the park and its restoration.
